FREASER HILL - Rising 1,500 meters above sea-level on the Titiwangsa mountain range of Peninsular Malaysia is Fraser's Hill. Named after a solitary Scottish pioneer, James Fraser, who set up a tin-ore trading post in the 1890s, it actually consists of seven hills. Fraser's Hill is truly an idyllic place for one to rest and to escape from not only the heat and humidity but also the hustle and bustle of city life. It is perhaps the prettiest of the Malaysian Hill resorts. Fraser's Hill is popular with the locals and foreign tourists for its greenery, forest walks, fresh air and exotic flower gardens, not to mention the golfing facilities. It has many attractions within and around the area. There is a nature education centre where visitors can learn about the flora and fauna of the area. Bird watching is a very popular pastime and Fraser's Hill is the venue of the annual Bird Race which attracts many foreign omithologists.

TAMAN NEGARA KUALA KOH - Taman Negara established in 1939 and covering three Peninsular States of Pahang, Kelantan and Terengganu, is Malaysia's premier park and the largest in the country. It covers a total area of about 4,343 sq. km. of primary tropical rainforest estimated to be more than 130 million years old. The park was formerly known as King George V National Park to commemorate the silver jubilee of the British monarch but after Independence in 1957, the name was changed to Taman Negara. Taman Negara Pahang, which forms the largest part of the park, covers an area of 2,477 sq. km (57%), followed by Taman Negara Kelantan with 1,013 sq. km (24%) and Taman Negara Terengganu with 853 sq. km (19%). The Park is hereby dedicated, set aside and reserved in perpetuity in trust for the purpose of the propagation, protection and preservation of the indigenous flora and fauna of Malaysia, and the preservation of objects and places of aesthetic, historical of scientific interest'
Taman Negara Kuala Koh - Is an alternative of crowded and over developed Kuala Tahan, about 290 km from Kuala Lumpur and 185 km from Kota Bharu. The journey from Gua Musang of 90KM takes about 1 ½ hours. The park entrance is at Aring Junction on the Gua Musang to Kota Bharu road. From here, the journey is 45 km with paved road. The road passes through Felda oil palm estates.
LAKE KENYIR - Kenyir Lake is the largest man-made lake in Southeast Asia. Sharing its border with Kelantan in the west and Pahang in the south. This immense lake also serve as another gateway to Taman Negara. The lake covers 260 km² and contains 340 small islands, which were once hiltops and highlands, more than 14 waterfalls, numerous rapids and rivers. Because the lake is a reservoir, the water level can vary depending on the month. The water level is highest (and the lake consequently the most beautiful) in March and April.
PERHENTIAN ISLAND - Lie approximately 10 nautical miles (19 km) offshore the coast of northeastern Malaysia in the state of Terengganu, approximately 40 miles (64 km) south of the Thai border. The two main islands are Perhentian Besar ("Big Perhentian") and Perhentian Kecil ("Small Perhentian"). The small, uninhabited islands of Susu Dara (Virgin Milk), Seringgi and Rawa lie off Kecil. The Perhentians belong to Pulau Redang National Marine Park, which means that fishing, collecting coral and littering are strictly prohibited. Perhentian Island also has a very beautiful beach call "Pasir Panjang" (Long Beach). It is located at Perhentian Kecil (Small Perhentian). It is a very beautiful white sandy beach, crystal clear water and it is the best place for picnic.
KOTA BHARU - is the state capital of Kelantan. The name means 'new city' or 'new castle/fort' in Malay.
